The YWCA is a global network of women with a vision for peace, justice, health, human dignity, freedom, and care for the environment are promoted and sustained through women's leadership in more than 100 countries and representing a worldwide membership of 25 million women.

In Australia the YWCA advocates for a just and inclusive society for all women, men and children and does this through the provision of local programs and services which address community needs.

The YWCA Hunter Region provides programs for the community, places value on all women and their families, nurtures their strengths and potential as individuals and in communities.
