About the role
YWCA Hunter Region Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This is a part-time (2 days a week) hybrid position based in Newcastle, NSW, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organisation and the local community.
What You’ll Be Doing
Fundraising Campaigns: Contribute to the planning and delivery of innovative fundraising initiatives that generate financial support for YWCA Hunter’s programs, with a particular emphasis on promoting ENCORE—our award-winning, evidence-based post-breast cancer exercise and wellness program.
Digital Marketing: Oversee the organisation’s social media platforms and website to enhance visibility, promote campaigns, and foster community engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, donors, and community stakeholders.
Event Coordination: Organise and deliver impactful community and fundraising events that elevate YWCA Hunter’s presence and inspire public involvement.
Content Creation: Develop engaging written and visual content to effectively communicate YWCA’s mission and promote its brand.
Data Analysis: Track and evaluate the performance of fundraising campaigns and digital engagement to guide future planning and improvements.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, or communications (non-profit experience highly regarded)
Strong writing and content creation skills
Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Event planning and coordination experience
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
A passion for social justice and community empowerment
Knowledge of the local community and the challenges facing women and families in the region

Remuneration
$28,000 – $30,000 per annum (pro-rata of $75,000 FTE) + superannuation
This reflects a part-time role at 2 days per week (0.4 FTE), with flexibility depending on experience.
