Swinging for a Cause: $10,000 Raised for ENCORE at Singleton Ladies Charity Golf Day
YWCA Hunter is incredibly grateful to have been chosen as the charity beneficiary of this year’s Ladies Charity Golf Day at Singleton Golf Club.
What started as a day of golf, friendship and fun resulted in an incredible $10,000 raised to support our ENCORE program.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful Ladies Committee at Singleton Golf Club for choosing ENCORE and putting together such a fantastic event. We’re equally grateful to the golfers who took part, local businesses who supported the day, those who generously donated prizes, the volunteers who helped make it happen, and everyone who contributed to the success of the fundraiser.
Making a difference for women after breast cancer
ENCORE is a free, eight-week wellness and exercise program supporting women following breast cancer. The program provides a safe and welcoming environment where participants can rebuild strength, confidence and connection through gentle exercise and opportunities to connect with others who understand their experience.
Keeping ENCORE free means that cost is not a barrier for women who could benefit from the program. Community fundraising events like the Singleton Ladies Charity Golf Day play an important role in helping us continue to offer this support across the Hunter Region.
The $10,000 raised will go directly to supporting the delivery of ENCORE and helping us reach more women across the Hunter.
