YWCA Hunter Joins Launch of the Working With Women Alliance

On Friday, 23 May, YWCA Hunter’s Executive Director, Caz O’Brien, proudly attended the official launch of the Working With Women Alliance (WwWA) in Canberra.

Led by our sister organisation, YWCA Canberra, the WwWA is one of five National Women’s Alliances. It plays a vital role in embedding women’s voices at the heart of policy development by offering intersectional, evidence-based gender equality advice to government and civil society.

“It was a privilege to attend this milestone event,” said Caz O’Brien. “The energy in the room was inspiring—witnessing a united front committed to advancing gender equality and improving outcomes for women across Australia was truly powerful.”

YWCA Hunter is proud to stand in solidarity with those driving systemic change and advocating for a more equitable future for all women and communities.
