A New Chapter for Community Connection: Our Street Library Is Now Open
YWCA Hunter is excited to announce that our new community Street Library, created in partnership with Cooks Hill Preschool, is officially open at the Y 📚
Located outside our Cooks Hill site, the Street Library is a welcoming space designed to encourage reading, sharing and connection within the local community. Whether you’re discovering a new favourite story, passing on a much-loved book, or simply stopping by for a browse, the library is here for everyone to enjoy.
The idea behind a Street Library is simple:
Take a book. Leave a book. Love a book. Keep a book.
We love the way books bring people together. Sparking imagination, conversation and connection across all ages. The Street Library is another small but meaningful way to strengthen community spirit and create opportunities for sharing and belonging.
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer Jodie, who helped bring the project to life and did an incredible job setting up the library for the community to enjoy 💛
Next time you’re visiting the Y, we’d love you to stop by and check it out.
